The shortlist has been revealed for the Humber Renewables Awards 2025.
A post-Covid record for entries was recorded for the event, now in its 13th year, with winners set to be revealed at a gala dinner celebration on 1 May.
The event, held in partnership with Orsted, RWE and Siemens Gamesa, will celebrate multi-million pound projects, significant carbon saving initiatives, job creation and environmental awareness.
It will mark the finale to Humber Marine & Renewables’ Offshore Wind Connections conference and exhibition.
Returning to consider the 2025 award entries was RSM head of renewables Sheena McGuinness.
She said: “It was an absolute pleasure to join the judging panel again and hear of the marvellous progress made on and around the Humber in the past year.
“I was particularly taken by the quality of the apprentice applications and the projects that have been completed in recent months.
“Innovation aplenty, and recognition of a region to do great, green business has been clear throughout the submissions.”
Tickets, priced at £75, are still available for the event at Hull’s DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel – via the website.
Some tickets also remain for Offshore Wind Connections 2025.
On the shortlist for apprentice of the year are Oliver Kinlock (ORE Catapult), Aurelia Pearson (RWE), Harry Rowntree (Orsted) and Madeleine Warburton (RWE).
Best community project contenders include Grimsby Community Energy and RWE for the Humber Gateway offshore wind farm.
Contenders for the excellence in renewable skills and training award include HFR Solutions CIC, Orsted/RWE and RWE.
Other award categories include the green innovation award, woman of the year and small business of the year.
