Ampyr Solar Europe has completed the acquisition of the fully consented 530MW East Yorkshire Solar Farm from Boom Power.
Plans for the array near Howden in East Yorkshire were approved by the UK government in May 2025.
It will connect to National Grid’s substation at Drax power station near Selby from 2029.
The deal adds to Ampyr’s 2.5GW project pipeline in the UK and 7GW pipeline across the UK, Germany and the Netherlands.
Ampyr Solar Europe CEO Tarun Agrawal said: “We’re delighted to advance our strategic growth in the UK market with the acquisition of the EYSF project.
“This project is the largest in our growing PV/BESS portfolio and aligns with our mission to deliver high impact renewable energy assets that support local communities, enhance energy security and contribute to national decarbonisation objectives.”
Boom Power Founder Mark Hogan added: “EYSF is a flagship project for us and reflects years of detailed development work, collaboration and engagement with our valued landowners and partners.
“Securing consent was a major achievement and we are proud to have brought the project to this stage.
“ASE is well placed to take EYSF forward into delivery and we look forward to seeing the project make a meaningful contribution to the UK’s clean energy transition.”
