Enel Green Power Chile has connected the 79MW Pampa Norte solar power plant to the grid.
The $150m project is located in the northern Antofagasta Region of Chile and has been connected to Chile’s Sistema Interconectado Central.
Pampa Norte is expected to generate 200GWh per year and has a Power Purchase Agreement in place, a spokesman said.
The Enel subsidiary has an operational portfolio of 700MW of renewables in Chile, 253MW of which is solar.
