European Energy has placed a €33m order for 121MW photovoltaic modules with Chinese manufacturer Risen Energy.
Risen will supply more than 300,000 panels for a project in Italy and others in Denmark that European Energy is developing.
The order will be delivered this year.
The manufacturer’s 370W high-efficiency PV modules will be used for the a 64MW project in Apulia, in southern Italy, and its 375W high-efficiency bifacial dual-glass panels are destined for projects near Thisted and at Mors in Denmark, totalling 57MW.
European Energy chief executive Knud Erik Andersen said: “We have been convinced by the professionalism and flexibility we have encountered with Risen Energy.
“We visited their production facilities and got a positive impression by their state of the art facilities and production methods.”
Risen Energy sales vice president Zhao Zelin said: “We are looking forward to making contributions to the global energy transformation and upgrading with more partners.
“We believe that cooperation with European Energy will develop going forward to the benefit of both companies.”
