French photovoltaic energy producer Photosol is forming a joint platform with developer Aedes Energies to co-develop a solar project portfolio with a capacity of more than 200MWp in tje Nouvelle Aquitaine and Occitanie regions.
The Aedes-Photosol Développement JV allows both companies to pool their expertise to develop the portfolio, the first projects of which should be commissioned in 2024.
Aedes Energies will be responsible for the development of the projects, including obtaining the administrative authorisations necessary for the construction and operation of the power plants, while Photosol will look after the projects technical and financial optimisation and connection.
Founded in 2008, Photosol specialises in large photovoltaic installations either on the ground or in shade houses of more than 3ha.
A leading player in the French renewables sector, they employ 100+ specialists and have one of the largest portfolios in France in operation and under construction with a combined capacity of over 400MWp.
Their portfolios under development total 3GWp in France and exceed 8GWp in the United States.
Structured around a multidisciplinary team spread over three sites in France, Aedes Energies has a portfolio of ground power plant projects of 800+MWp under development.
