Chinese company JinkoSolar shipped the most solar modules in 2019, according to analysis by GlobalData.
JinkoSolar delivered 14.2GW of photovoltaic modules last year, up from 11.4GW in 2018, the researchers said.
In second place was JA Solar with 10.3GW, a rise of 17% on the 8.8GW shipped in 2018, followed by Trina Solar with 9.7GW, Longi Solar Technology with 9.0GW and Canadian Solar with 8.5GW.
Most of the companies in the top 10 are from the Asia-Pacific region, said GlobalData.
There was little change from the previous year, with the top five companies all in the same positions as 2018.
Overall, the top 10 manufacturers shipped approximately 80.3GW of modules in 2019, compared with 63GW in 2018, an increase of over 27%.
The top 10 manufacturers are likely to account for more than 75% of the module shipments in 2020, GlobalData added.
GlobalData power practice head Ankit Mathur said: “The global solar PV market is riding high on account of higher demand, continuous reduction costs, software and technological advancements and improvement in module efficiency.
“The enhanced solar system efficiency and performance coupled with data analytics for better asset management and commercial monitoring has significantly reduced the LCOE and stands to improve further on greater technological advancements.”
