A Mitsubishi Research Institute-led consortium, including Kyocera Corp, has completed a 14.5MW solar plant in Hyogo prefecture in Japan.
Kyocera supplied 56,000 solar modules and peripheral equipment for installation, with Tokyo Century Corp arranging financing.
Yonden Engineering designed and constructed the plant, while MRI Mitsubishi Research Institute provided consultation and will also asset manage the project.
The plant will generate 16,060MWh of electricity a year and sell it to Kansai Electric Power Company through Japan’s feed-in tariff system.
Construction started in April 2015, with the project coming online in November this year.
