MET Group has commissioned its 10MWp Caltignaga solar plant in Italy.
The Agri-PV project is expected to generate 15GWh a year and EPC work was carried out by CMC Europe Italy SRL, MET Group said.
The Caltignaga facility is MET’s second operating solar site in Italy after the 10MWp Ferrera Erbognone project was commissioned in October 2025, according to the company.
Both plants have a mix of Corporate PPAs, GSE and MET Energia Italia as offtakers.
MET Group’s Green Assets Division is investing in solar, wind and battery energy storage systems, with 445MW of solar and onshore wind already in operation across Europe and a portfolio under development in Italy.
The Caltignaga and Ferrera Erbognone systems provide renewable generation while allowing sustainable agricultural use of the land.
The plants are owned by Keppel MET Renewables, a 50-50 joint venture between Keppel’s Infrastructure Division and MET Group.
Clive Turton, executive chairman of MET Group’s Green Assets Division, said: “The commissioning of the Caltignaga solar park is an important milestone in strengthening our presence in Italy, and a key step in our strategy to grow in Western Europe.”
He added: “We aim to become a major player in the European renewables industry and significantly contribute to the success of the energy transition.”
