Shikun & Binui Energy has secured €49m loan from Raiffeisen Bank International AG for a 101MW solar farm in Simleu Silvaniei, in the north-west part of the country.
Law firm Nyerges & Partners assisted the developer in the deal, its second Romanian investment, by supporting the client through all stages of the project, including development, EPC, and O&M contracting.
The project team was led by managing partner Mihaela Nyerges and counsel Carolina Baloleanu, and included managing associate Mihaela Spiridon handling EPC and O&M matters, managing associate Monica Cune-Ghițescu and junior associate Paraschiv Sandu addressing real estate and urbanism matters and associate Diana Dulamă overseeing project finance and energy matters.
“This mandate is another testament of our team’s extensive expertise in all stages of renewable energy projects,” said said Nyerges.
“We are proud and grateful for the trust Shikun & Binui continues to place in us during the development of their significant pipeline of solar and wind projects across Romania.
“Congratulations to the professional team of Shikun & Binui Energy on reaching yet another significant milestone in their Romanian investments.”
