Qair UK has secured Contracts for Difference in Allocation Round 7a for four solar projects across England with a combined capacity of about 190MW, including one delivered in partnership.
The company said the awards mark a milestone in its strategy to expand its operational footprint and establish itself as an independent power producer in the UK from 2027.
It added that the CfDs provide long-term revenue certainty to accelerate project delivery, with work on the first sites scheduled to begin in spring 2026 and initial commissioning targeted from early 2027.
Manuel Balseiro, head of delivery and finance at Qair UK, said: “These CfD awards provide the revenue certainty needed to move ahead with construction and deliver these projects at pace. With work set to begin in the next few months, we are now focused on bringing new renewable capacity online efficiently and responsibly, helping to supply reliable clean electricity to UK consumers.”
Once operational, the projects will supply domestically generated renewable electricity to support energy security and national decarbonisation objectives.
The company stated that securing the contracts reinforces its commitment to investing in UK energy infrastructure and delivering renewable projects at scale.
