RES Distributed is to develop, construct and manage a 15MW distributed portfolio of solar projects for Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC) in the Texas Hill Country.
The Pedernales Electric Community solar project will consist of 15 sites across PEC’s service territory with each site hosting up to 998kW.
Construction will start later this year and is scheduled to be completed in 2017.
All electricity generated will be sold to PEC under a long-term power purchase agreement.
RES Distributed president Tom Duckett said: “This project demonstrates an innovative, customer-sited energy solution that RES Distributed will deliver using our 20 years of development, construction and energy management experience.”
