RWE is constructing three solar plants in Spain with a total capacity of 98MW.
All three projects will be completed in the first quarter of 2023.
The projects comprise a 10MW solar installation in Las Vaguadas in the province of Badajoz, with installation of 20,000 panels expected to start in late summer, and solar farms in Casa Valdes and Puerta del Sol, each with a capacity of 44MW.
For all three solar projects, RWE is using bifacial modules to increase their production.
RWE is also involved in a PV plant in the Spanish province of Toledo and in the solar thermal power station Andasol 3.
Furthermore RWE’s 45MW ground-mounted solar farm Alarcos went into operation in 2020, located south of the city of Ciudad Real, in the autonomous community of Castilla-La Mancha.
