Renewables consultancy SgurrEnergy has secured a contract to advise on two 30MW solar parks in Senegal, western Africa.
The company has been appointed as technical advisor by Meridiam, the lead developer and investor of the Senergy and Ten Merina projects.
The photovoltaic plants are the first large-scale facilities of their kind to be developed in Senegal, according to the Wood Group unit.
Both projects are already under construction, with Senergy scheduled to start operating in mid-2017 and Ten Merina later next year.
