SgurrEnergy is to undertake technical management for DIF Infrastructure III fund’s 5MW Islip and 5MW Springhill solar projects located in Northamptonshire and Gloucestershire respectively.
The work will take place over an initial three-year period.
Each solar farm is connected to the UK electrical grid and has approximately 20,000 solar panels installed.
Services will include operational monitoring and reporting, management of the operations and maintence contractor, with regular site inspections to be conducted by SgurrEnergy’s local site manager.
DIF’s Moira Turnbull-Fox said: “We appointed SgurrEnergy to manage these two assets as we were impressed with their depth of knowledge, experience and UK presence and hope these can be brought to bear for our benefit.”
SgurrEnergy group director Robbie Gibson said: “Our solar track record in the UK is second to none, having delivered technical advice on 2.9GW of installed capacity across the country. Worldwide we have been involved in more than 10GW of solar projects and this latest assignment brings our operational asset management portfolio over the 100MW milestone.
“Looking ahead, SgurrEnergy is committed to providing a long term, high quality service to our wide range of clients cementing our position as a trusted advisor and asset manager in the market.”
