Solar projects dominated the results of France’s onshore renewables tender announced last month.
In the results of the tender launched by the French Energy Regulation Commission (CRE) in October for 500MW of capacity, 38 winners were chosen.
According to a breakdown of the results published by French investor Envinergy, solar accounted for 35 winning projects, while wind projects accounted for three.
The tender is part of the third phase of the neutral PPE2 AO, dedicated to solar, hydroelectric and wind.
The average proposed price reached €80.6/MWh for a total allocated capacity of 500.6MW.
A total of 22 companies will deliver the 38 projects, with big winners including Neoen, EDF Renewables and Q Energy.
The selected projects must be commissioned within 30 months for solar installations and 36 months for wind power installations.
