SunPower is to supply solar panels totalling 291MW to photovoltaic projects that were successful in the second round of France’s recent tender process.
The company said the projects to be supplied include ground-mounted, carport and roof top facilities in France and storage and self-consumption in the country’s non-interconnected zones (ZNI).
SunPower executive vice president Peter Aschenbrenner said: “With these awards, the total capacity of SunPower solar panels supplied to ground, carport and rooftop and ZNI projects awarded in this year’s first and second round tender process is 505MW.
“SunPower solar panels deliver cost-competitive power and proven long-term reliability, and we are proud to play a significant role in serving France’s goals for clean, renewable solar power.”
