Nexos Group has appointed Dan McAteer as its new group chief executive to lead delivery of its strategy.
The company said McAteer has more than 25 years’ experience in the energy sector and has held senior roles at Worley, Petrofac, KCA Deutag and Global Energy Group.
It added that he most recently served as commercial and supply chain director for National Gas and succeeds Scott McGinigal, who will remain to support a transition before departing in the coming weeks.
McAteer will be responsible for driving domestic and international growth across energy, power, industrial and commercial sectors, as well as process and chemicals markets.
He has overseen global energy projects worth in excess of $25 billion and began his career with BAE Systems in 2000.
“Nexos Group has built an exceptional foundation across its portfolio of companies – I’m joining at a genuinely exciting moment,” said Dan McAteer, group chief executive of Nexos Group.
“My focus will be on accelerating that shift, deepening our capabilities, and making sure we’re the partner of choice for clients by delivering long-term value.”
“Dan brings exactly the combination of commercial acumen and energy industry expertise that Nexos Group needs as it enters this next phase of growth,” said Colin Welsh, chairman of D2Zero.
“The opportunity ahead of us is significant. With Dan at the helm, I’m confident we’re well positioned to seize it.”
