Nordex Group has secured orders from long-standing customer wpd for 40 wind turbines to be installed across nine projects in Germany.
The orders, with a total capacity of 279.2MW, include 36 N163/6.X turbines and four N175/6.X turbines, with delivery and installation scheduled for 2027, Nordex Group said.
Nordex added that the orders also include Premium Service contracts to maintain the turbines for 15 years.
The turbines will be installed at wind farms in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, North Rhine-Westphalia, Hesse and Lower Saxony.
All turbines will be installed on hybrid towers, with the N163 turbines planned at a hub height of 164 metres and the N175 turbines on towers with a height of 179 metres.
After installation the turbines will mainly operate in 7MW mode.
“wpd’s decision to select our technology again-this time including the N175/6.X turbines-after their significant order of nearly 126 MW in September 2025, is a strong endorsement of both our team’s capabilities and our technological competence,” said Karsten Brüggemann, vice president region Central of Nordex Group.
“We are very pleased to continue our successful partnership, which has grown over many years.”
