Scottish engineering outfit Quoceant has been awarded a contract by Ocean Winds to provide engineering support for the 390MW BC-Wind offshore wind project in the Baltic Sea off Poland.
Quoceant said its scope includes reviewing documentation, developing calculations and tools to support engineering decisions, and creating detailed structural models to analyse aspects of the foundations design.
The company will also deliver design scopes for temporary works including transition piece covers and a monopile test tower for onshore testing and refinement of offshore monopile and transition piece assembly procedures.
The work follows Quoceant’s previous support to Ocean Winds on the Moray East and Moray West offshore wind projects.

“We help bridge the gap between contractors and deliver on a range of design scopes across T&I, foundations and offshore substation work packages.”
The BC-Wind wind farm is expected to deliver first power in 2028.
