Muirhall Energy has been awarded Contracts for Difference for four onshore wind projects in Scotland.
The company said the awards, totalling 143.3MW at a strike price of £72.24/MWh, cover Hopsrig and Loganhead in Dumfries and Galloway, Glen Ullinish 1 in the Highlands and the Tormywheel Extension in West Lothian.
Muirhall Energy added that the results support its commitment to deliver renewable projects that create long-term economic and social benefits.
Sarah McIntosh, managing director of Muirhall Energy, said: “We welcome today’s AR7a announcement, which confirms that Muirhall Energy has successfully secured contracts for four onshore wind farm projects, amounting to a potential installed capacity of 143.3MW.”
McIntosh added: “As one of the cheapest and most established renewables technologies, onshore wind will continue to play a critical role in the UK’s energy mix.”
McIntosh stated that future auctions should remain enabling and cost reflective to support further deployment.
