Aura Power has secured project finance to build the 49MWp Horton Solar Farm in East Devon.
The deal marks the company’s fifth UK solar project to reach financial close in the past 14 months, bringing its construction portfolio to 298MWp, the developer said.
Senior debt financing was provided by Rabobank with junior finance from Investec, according to Aura Power.
Simon Coulson, chief executive officer of Aura Power, said: “We are delighted to close the year with another major milestone.”
Coulson added: “2025 has been our most successful year yet, with five projects financed and three in construction.”
Horton Solar Farm received unanimous planning approval in June 2023 and is scheduled to enter construction in May 2026.
Rabobank associate director Paul Graafland said: “We’re thrilled to support Aura Power in bringing more solar energy to the UK grid with our fifth consecutive transaction together.”
