Vestas has secured firm orders totalling 585MW across 13 wind farms in Germany, Denmark and the UK as part of its Q3 2025 intake.
The largest share comes from Germany, where the manufacturer will supply a combined 239MW of EnVentus turbines to eight community-led projects developed by BBWind in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The orders include V172-7.2MW and V162-6.2MW machines and cover projects such as the 58MW Hoetmar-Freckenhorst, 44MW WMO Quantwick West und Ost and the 36MW Borken Weseke Ost.
Other schemes include Velen Dorenfeld at 29MW, Sendenhorst Elmenhorst and Oelde Wibberich at 22MW each, Energiepark Beckum at 22MW, and Dorsten Hilgenböcken at 7MW.
Deliveries will begin in late 2026 with commissioning running through to 2027, all supported by long-term AOM service contracts of up to 20 years.
“We are proud to partner with BBWind in their efforts to develop community-led wind farms in one of Germany’s key regions for wind energy,” said Nils de Baar, regional president of Vestas Northern and Central Europe.
BBWind managing director Michael Schlüß added: “The EnVentus platform proves to be a strong solution for our community wind projects in North Rhine-Westphalia.”
A further 346MW has been booked across five other orders. These include the 109MW Liethe, Gremsheim and Müden cluster for Windstrom in Germany, featuring a mix of V162-6.2MW and V150-6.0MW units.
Raiffeisen Windpark Saterland has ordered 10 V162-7.2MW turbines totalling 72MW for the BA 1 Repowering Ostermoor Süd site, while Eurowind Energy has selected seven V162-6.2MW machines for the 43MW Hermannstein project.
In Denmark, an undisclosed customer has signed for 13 V136-4.5MW turbines at a 59MW scheme, with delivery scheduled in 2026. Vattenfall has also ordered 14 V136-4.5MW units for the 63MW Clashindarroch 2 wind farm in the UK, backed by a 30-year service agreement.
