PNE AG and a project development company linked to regional Volksbanken have secured a permit for their 86.4MW wind energy project in Löningen, Lower Saxony.
Approval for the 12-turbine development was granted under the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG), PNE said.

The wind farm will be capable of supplying around 52,000 three-person households with clean electricity each year once operational.
The project features a broad ownership model, combining institutional participation with local involvement.
Alongside landowners and PNE, residents of Löningen will be able to take part in the project through a community wind farm scheme, enabling direct financial participation.
