Dutch turbine Independent Service Provider Iver has appointed John van Soest as its new managing director.
The company said with a background in the military and executive roles at Vopak and Alkion Terminals, van Soest brings valuable knowledge and leadership experience to the outfit.
He said: “I feel a strong connection with Iver due to my passion for technology and my experience in the energy sector.
“I started as a maintenance engineer for military aircrafts at Defensie and, over the years, have learned at different companies how to manage operational, commercial, and technical teams, as well as how to improve work processes.
“This experience perfectly aligns with the phase that Iver is currently in.”
The company said: “With John’s appointment as the new managing director, Iver continues on its path towards further professionalisation.
“Under John’s leadership, the management team aims to further expand the company (internationally) and strengthen its position in the wind turbine sector.”
Iver offers a broad range of services, covering the entire lifecycle of a turbine.
“In the coming years, this service portfolio will be further optimised to provide even better support for customers in maintaining their wind turbines,” the company said.
“I greatly appreciate the work of the service engineers, project managers, and all the colleagues behind the scenes,” van Soest added.
“They ensure that Iver keeps running every day. The wind industry is the future, and we, as Iver, play a significant role in it.”
