The campaign “Let’s Create Energy – Together for the Energy Transition in Italy” offers local residents the opportunity to receive a direct financial benefit by investing in the energy transition in their territory.

The investment duration is 36 months and residents can obtain an interest of 6.5% gross per year, while residents of the Municipality of San Severo and those of the Province of Foggia will obtain an interest of 7.5% gross per year.

RWE has chosen Ener2Crowd as a provider of services relating to the financing process and easy management of sustainable investments through its platform, one of the first authorised by CONSOB, the Italian authority for the supervision of financial markets.

San Severo, located in the municipality of the same name, in the province of Foggia, is under construction and is expected to be put into operation by the end of 2024.

Countrychair for RWE Renewables Italia Paolo Raia said: “The commitment towards the communities that host our green projects is a fundamental part of our strategy.

“Offering residents the opportunity to directly benefit from wind energy in their territory, through their investments, is perfectly in line with our sustainability objectives.

“With this initiative we aim to actively involve local communities and collaborate for the energy transition in Italy.”

From 15 February to 5 March 2024, only residents of the Municipality of San Severo and the Province of Foggia will be able to invest online via the Ener2Crowd website and app.

From 6 March to 15 April 2024, residents of the entire Puglia region will be able to invest.
