Nordex has recorded turbine orders totalling 7400MW during 2023.
In the fourth quarter 2.5GW of orders contributed to the year’s total and was an increase on the same period in 2022 which reached 1.9GW.
The average sales price in euros per megawatt of capacity (ASP) was €840,000/MW in fourth quarter 2023, compared with €890,000 million/MW in fourth quarter 2023.
Orders in the final quarter of 2023 (in MW) were distributed as 92% in Europe, with Germany, Sweden and Spain accounting for some of the largest markets for demand.
In 2023, Nordex received orders from 23 countries with an ASP of €840,000/MW, the same ASP as 2022.
Europe accounted for 86% of total order intake for 2023.
The largest individual European markets were Germany, Turkey, Spain and Sweden.
The Latin America region, including Brazil and Chile, accounted for 8% of the order volume.
The North America region accounted for 4% of orders with Canada and the “rest of the world” region accounted for 2% with South Africa.
“As expected, we booked high amount of orders near the end of the year. I am very pleased that, with almost 2.5 GW in the fourth quarter, we were able to achieve another increase compared to the already good third quarter,” said Nordex chief executive Jose Luis Blanco.
“Our product portfolio is proving to be competitive with stable prices.
“The large number of small projects with a high rated output – particularly in Germany – has made itself clearly felt.”
