Lithuania’s National Energy Regulatory Council (VERT) has launched a tender for the development of an offshore wind farm (without state aid) in the Baltic Sea.
The tender will be awarded to the bidder who offers the highest development fee and meets national security requirements, VERT said.
The maximum capacity of the park is 700MW and the minimum is 580MW.
Interested parties now have 60 days to submit documents, which can be done online. No further stages of the competition will be held if fewer than two tenderers are registered, VERT said.
The Tender Committee will then carry out an assessment of the qualifications of the bidders. Only those who meet the qualifications will be allowed to participate in the next stage of the bidding process. The subsequent stages of the bidding process will not be conducted if less than two bidders are shortlisted in bidding round 2.
Bids for the wind park development fees need to be submitted via an online auction at www.evarzytynes.lt.
