Muehlhan Wind Service (MWS) has bagged a full scope pre-assembly contract for HKN (Hollandse Kust Noord) from Siemens Gamesa. The offshore site will be 18km off the coast of Egmond aan Zee in the Netherlands. HKN is being constructed by CrossWind, a joint venture of Shell and Eneco.
MWS will be responsible for mechanical and electrical pre-assembly work, crane/lifting operations, and the complete ground transportation of nacelles, blades, and towers at the marshalling harbour. The project will comprise of 69 wind turbines, (SG 11-200 DD) with a total of 759MW capacity.
All pre-assembly work will be executed from the marshalling harbour at the port of Eemshaven in the province of Groningen. MWS will have over 100 staff members based at site.
