Energiequelle has begun constructing the foundations at the 40MW Torvenkyla wind farm in Finland.
The project is located in the municipality of Kalajoki in North-Ostrobothnia, approximately 150 km south of Oulu.
Energiequelle is installing seven Nordex N163 turbines, each with an output of 5.7MW.
An eight-metre concrete elevation will be built on top of the foundations to increase the hub height of the turbines and enhance the wind farm’s electricity production.
This special foundation type as well as the entire remaining infrastructure for the wind farm, will be carried out by construction contractor Suvic.
The substation for the connection of the project to Fingrid´s 110 kV electricity grid will be implemented by VEO.
The installation of the wind turbines is scheduled to start in August 2022.
Torvenkyla is Energiequelle’s fourth project in Finland.
