Enercon’s chief sales officer (CSO) Stefan Lutkemeyer (pictured) is to leave the wind turbine company to start his own business in the wind energy industry.
Lutkemeyer will be resigning from his role as CSO as of 31 March 2022 and will be supporting the company until the end of November to ensure a controlled transfer of responsibilities.
Enercon is reorganising the customer-related functions at the management level, including the CSO role and has named the equal-ranking dual leadership team consisting of Ulrich Schulze Sudhoff and Frederic Maenhaut as Lutkemeyer’s successors.
Enercon CEO Jurgen Zeschky said: “We look at Stefan Lutkemeyer’s leaving with great regret but respect his personal decision.
“We would like to thank him for his extraordinary commitment and the great loyalty he has shown in trustingly giving advice and support to the company for nearly three decades.
“Enercon owes him a great deal. We wish him every success in his future endeavours, both professional and private.”
Lutkemeyer said the decision was not easy for him.
“I have had many exciting, eventful years behind me in a successful company with great coworkers.
“I will always remain committed to the company and I’m very grateful to have been part of an unparalleled corporate development.
“Our branch of industry is becoming more and more important. After troublesome years, the prospects of Enercon and renewable energies, particularly in the German market, appear to be more than positive.
“I would like to use the opportunity and venture one more change in order to build something new in the renewables sector.
“In doing so, I hope I’ll be able to continue my good collaboration with Enercon and wish all of us a lot of success in dealing with current and future challenges.’
