Vestas has received an order from an undisclosed customer for two unnamed wind projects in the USA totalling 219MW.
One project consists of 26 V150-4.2MW turbines while the other includes 22 V150-4.2MW and three V136-4.2MW turbines, with all turbines delivered in 4.3MW operating mode.
Vestas vice president of sales in North America Jeff Fuchs said: “This order builds on the success that the V150-4.2MW wind turbine has had both in the USA and globally and cements its position as one of the most applicable large wind turbines in the market.”
Both orders include supply, transport, and commissioning of the turbines, as well as a 20-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement, designed to ensure optimised performance of the asset.
Turbine delivery for the projects begin in the second and third quarters of 2022 with commissioning scheduled for the third and fourth quarters of 2022.
