Ailes Marines has launched its drilling testing campaign for the 496MW Saint-Brieuc offshore wind farm off the coast of France.
The vessel Bokalift 1, chartered by Ailes Marines, began the drilling tests following an agreement of the prefect of the Cotes d’Armor and the Maritime Prefect.

Starting this month, the vessel will conduct drilling tests at three wind turbine sites for the Saint-Brieuc offshore wind project.
The campaign’s aim is to validate that drilling can be applied in the Saint-Brieuc site to define solutions with less environmental impact on aquatic species.
Ailes Marines, which is owned by Iberdrola, is building Saint-Brieuc that will feature 62 Siemens Gamesa 8MW turbines.
