The government of Georgia has given the green light to Georgia Capital to build two wind farms in the European country totalling 108MW.
Georgia Capital said the approval means the company can now finalise power purchase agreements (PPAs) with the government.

The PPAs are expected to be completed in the “near future”, the developer said.
It added that construction of the Tbilisi and Kaspi wind farms will run in parallel, with commissioning expected in the second half of 2022.
Georgia Capital said the projects will have an average capacity factor in the 35% to 40% range.
In November, the company acquired the 21MW Qartli wind farm, which is currently Georgia’s only operational project.
