The operator of the Global Tech I offshore wind farm in the German North Sea has launched a tender for a helicopter emergency medical services provider.
The three-year contract includes “aeronautical and medical components” and the operation of a rescue coordination station.
The provider may also be called upon to provide services to neighbouring wind farms, the tender documents said.
The contract, which is renewable twice, for one year each time, will start on 1 April 2020 and run until 31 March 2023.
Tenders must be submitted by 11 November 2019 by 11am local time. Documentation can be submitted in German or English.
The 400MW wind farm Global Tech I comprises 80 Adwen 5MW turbines and is located around 140km northwest of Emden in the German Exclusive Economic Zone.
