The offshore aspect of a campaign to test industrialised suction bucket technology has been completed, according to Universal Foundation.
The company, which is part of a consortium testing the foundation as part of Denmark’s Energy Technology Development and Demonstration Program, said the structure is now back on land having achieved 13 offshore installations and retrievals.

The other members of the group are Siemens Gamesa, Aalborg University and Offshhoreenergy.dk.
The project seeks to demonstrate how an industrialised suction bucket concept can cut installation costs of offshore wind farm foundations.
It was funded by a €3.8m grant from the Danish government.
