Able UK is planning to build an offshore wind hub in the north east of England at the site of a former steel works on the south bank of the Tees River.
The company has employed Prism Planning to support the application, with the latter having submitted a scoping request under environmental impact regulations last month to the local planning authority.

The development would include a 950-metre quay and cranes, with onsite space for the storage and assembly of wind turbine components.
About 250 jobs would be created during construction and up to 600 permanent positions when the completed, Prism said.
Able UK already has consent for a marine energy park on the banks of the Humber in England.
