WindSim, a provider of computational fluid dynamics-based wind farm design tools has appointed Donna Rennemo as president and chief executive.
The appointment is effective immediately and follows the agreement between WindSim and current chief executive John Olaf Romma to step down.
WindSim board chairman Dag Honningsvag said: “We are at a critical moment and we need renewed leadership to successfully implement our strategy and take advantage of the market opportunities ahead.
“Rennemo is a technology visionary with a proven track record of execution. She is a strong communicator who is customer focused with deep leadership capabilities.
“Furthermore, having been the president of WindSim Americas for several years, Rennemo has a solid understanding of our products and markets.”
Rennemo said: “I am honoured to lead WindSim. I believe WindSim technology solutions will continue to add great value to industry.”
He said the board thanks Romma for his long service at WindSim and for his contribution to the company and the organisation.
