The 448MW Neart Na Gaoithe offshore wind farm has passed its first 12-month delivery milestone requirements stipulated by the Low Carbon Contracts Company as part of the former’s Contract for Difference award.
The LCCC is designated counterparty for contracts awarded to generators under the government’s CfD scheme.
Milestones need to be reached within 12 months of the contract award, requiring the generator to demonstrate commitment to delivering the project.
EDF Renewables is developing the Neart project, which will be located in the Firth of Forth off Scotland.
LCCC said that the 5.56MW Blackbridge TGS1 and 25.5MW Northacre Renewable Energy Centrw advanced conversion technology projects also achieved the 12-month milestone.
However, the Drakelow Renewable Energy Centre didn’t make sufficient progress and has had its CfD terminated, LCCC added.
