Vestas has won a turbine order totalling 106MW for an unnamed client and undisclosed wind farms in Greece.
The deal covers supply and installation of 14 V136-4.2MW, five V136-3.6MW and eight V117-3.6MW machines.
Vestas said some of the V136-4.2MW turbines will also be equipped with the company’s anti-icing system.
Delivery is planned for the second and third quarter of 2019, with commissioning scheduled for the third quarter of 2019.
The contract also includes a 20-year active output management 4000 service agreement.
Vestas Hellas head Marios Zangas said: “Leveraging our ability to develop site-specific solutions and our competitiveness in the new auction system have been key factors in winning this order.
“Together with local partners, we are breaking new grounds for wind energy in Greece highlighted by the fact that we for the first time are able to apply our expertise in cold climate solutions in a Mediterranean country like Greece.”
The client and projects are undisclosed at the customer’s request, Vestas said.
