Danish engineering company Per Aarsleff has named Jesper Kristian Jacobsen as general manager, effective from 1 October.
He will replace Ebbe Malte Iversen, who is turning 67 years old and has been a member of the executive management team since 1989.
Jacobsen (pictured) started working for Per Aarsleff in 1995, and since 2016 has been a member of executive management.
The company said that for most of his career, Jacobsen has been in charge of construction activities in west Denmark as well as major international contracts in the offshore wind sector.
Per Aarsleff said the executive management will consist of Jacobsen, deputy general manager Lars Carlsen and group chief financial officer Mogens Vedel Hestbaek.
Meanwhile, a downturn in the market for onshore wind foundations in Germany contributed to the company’s ground engineering business segment posting results below expectations for the nine months from 1 October 2017 to 30 June 2018.
Earnings before interest and tax were Dkr48m in the period, a slight rise on the Dkr46m posted in the same period last year.
Overall, EBIT at Per Aarsleff was almost Dkr343m over the nine months, up from more than Dkr245m last year.
