RES Group has been granted the all clear to build a 16-turbine extension at the Hill of Towie wind farm in the northeast of Scotland.
Scottish ministers gave the green light to the up to 48MW second phase following a public local inquiry.
Towie 2 will feature turbines of up to 125 metres on an upland site near Elgin.
The first phase is 48.3MW and features Siemens 2.3MW hardware. It has been operational since 2012.
Moray Council objected to the extension and requested expenses during the PLI, which were refused.
