Scottish officials have rejected 2020 Renewables plans for the eight-turbine Loch Hill wind farm in the southwest of the country.
The Planning and Environmental Appeals Division dismissed an appeal filed by the developer on the grounds of non-determination by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
The reporter pointed to cumulative landscape and visual impacts outweighing any benefits.
Loch Hill was based on 126.5-metre turbines and top power of 28.8MW near St John’s Town of Dalry.
2020, which is owned by Velocita, filed the application in April 2016 and the reporter visited the proposed site in March this year.
