Smulders has lifted the first upper jacket onto the lower jacket foundation for the 588MW Beatrice offshore wind farm, which will be located in the Moray Firth.
The work took place at Smulders yard in Wallsend in the UK’s north east.
Smulders is providing 28 jackets for the wind farm, with Bladt Industries building 30 four-legged jackets and BiFab the remaining 26 foundations.
Beatrice will comprise 84 Siemens 7MW turbines.
