Acciona Energy has inaugurated the 93MW San Roman wind farm in south-east Texas.
The project, which is located near Brownsville, comprises 31 AW125/3000 turbines.
It is the company’s eighth wind farm in the US, bringing Acciona’s total wind capacity in the country to 721MW.
Construction of San Roman took 11 months and generated more than 100,000 hours of work for local contractors, the company said.
Acciona said it has also started construction on a new 168MW wind farm and will install a 339MW solar plant in Mexico, both of which are expected to be complete by the end of 2018.
