Navacel has loaded out the transition pieces for Statoil and Masdar’s 30MW Hywind Scotland floating offshore wind demonstrator, which will be located off Peterhead.
The Spanish fabricator delivered the towers for the project in early March.
Navacel’s contract included purchase of steel, manufacturing, surface treatments and installation of tower internals.
The project will consist of five 6MW Siemens turbines and is scheduled to come online later this year.
