Spanish outfit Euskalforging has won a contract to supply 42 flanges to Navantia for foundations being fabricated for the 714MW East Anglia 1 offshore wind farm off the UK east coast.
Under the terms of the deal, Euskalforging will roll, heat treat and deliver the flanges, which will be integrated into the foundations.
“The production will be adjusted to meet the customer needs thanks to Euskalforging’s flexible manufacturing set up with regular deliveries to their facilities,” a company spokesman said.
The company has three manufacturing plants in the north of Spain and has been contracted for work on more than 30 offshore wind farms.
