Axys Technologies has deployed its WatchKeeper meteorological and oceanographic data buoy off the coast of Poland for offshore wind farm developer Baltic Trade and Invest.
The buoy is approximately 60km offshore in the Baltic Sea will collect data for the environmental impact assessment for the FEW Baltic 2 offshore wind farm, Axys said.
It is equipped to provide wind speed and direction, air temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, solar radiation, directional waves, current speed and direction, conductivity and water temperature in near real-time via satellite telemetry.
Axys said a field technician assisted with the commissioning and deployment of the buoy and provided training to the local service workers for its continued operation and maintenance.
