C-bed’s floating hotel Wind Innovation has set sail for its assignment on the 402MW Veja Mate offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
Work on the project, located 95km north west of Borkum Island, is expected to take between seven and 10 months, the Dutch company said.
The former seismic survey vessel can accommodate up to 105 beds in 80 cabins, all with en-suite bathroom, internet, TV, desk and wardrobe, C-bed said.
The Veja Mate project will consist of 67 6MW Siemens turbines and is expected to be fully operational by the end of the year.
