The Dutch government opened a public consultation today on draft documents relating to the tender for the 20MW Borssele 5 offshore wind zone.
The consultation runs until 1 February.
The site has been designated an innovation zone by the government to test new technologies, such as turbines and foundations, and installation methods.
The Borssele 5 tender is expected to open in the autumn.
In December, a consortium of Shell, Van Oord, Eneco and Mitsubishi/Diamond Generating Europe won the right to develop and build the 680MW Borssele 3&4 offshore wind farm.
Dong Energy won the tender for the 700MW Borssele 1&2 projects.
