Vestas has won four orders totalling 320MW in North and South America from clients including Avangrid Renewables and EDF EN do Brasil.
EDF has ordered hardware totalling 117MW for the phase 2 of the Ventos da Bahia wind farm in the Brazilian state of Bahia.
The deal includes supply and installation of 53 V110 2MW turbines that will be manufactured in Brazil and a 15-year full scope active output management (AOM) 4000 service contract.
Delivery is planned to start in the first quarter of 2018, with commissioning expected for the third quarter of 2018.
Vestas has also received a firm an unconditional order for a further 21 V110 2MW units for the Cabeço Vermelho I and Cabeço Vermelho II wind farms in Rio Grande do Norte from Gestamp Eólica Brasil.
The deal comprises supply and installation of the turbines, as well as a 10-year full-scope AOM 4000 service agreement.
The turbines will be produced in Brazil with delivery planned to start in the fourth quarter of 2017 and commissioning expected in the second quarter of 2018.
In the US, Avangrid has ordered 3MW turbines totalling 30MW in a deal that includes commissioning.
No details were revealed regarding the destination of the machines, only that the contract will enable the company’s “future project pipeline”.
Vestas also received a firm and unconditional order totalling 131MW for V112 3.45MW turbines for an unnamed customer in the US. No further details of the deal were disclosed.
